Database corruption

I have been having problems with programs locking up on my computer. I have a
small database where I keep track of my plants moving throughout my nursery.

Today, I started having problems, with a database has a corruption error,
where access creates a backup and restarts. I have tried to import the files
into a new database and followed Allen Browne's instructions for re-creating
it, but on the debug, the program does not stop, it closes with the same
error.

I have many backups and I have now gone back almost 1 month in my backups
and it seems the problem existed all along, but everything was working.
I don't know where to look anymore.
Needs some tips on what to do.

Just figured out that my entire access is corrupted. I tried repair, it
bombed. I uninstalled and re-installed, can't even get into access.
I guess I have to spend some money and call microsoft.

You are correct. I am waiting for Dell to replace the motherboard, because
the firewire port died which caused a problem with the external harddrives. I
just ordered a larger laptop harddrive as well, so I am trying to just get
this working for right now.
I will try to uninstall the entire office and see if I can get back into
access.

Anne,

If many programs are locking up on your computer, your troubles with Access
are probably just a symptom of the problem. I would have your computer looked
at first. You could have bad memory, hard drive, or even cpu problems.
