I don't know if this is a right place for this questions, but I am using
Access 2000. The database is corrupted (unrecognized format error) and
trying to use the jetcomp4.0 to repair it. However, it is giving me a
message saying that "can't compact this version of database".
Why am i getting this message? I have read the Utility user manual and says
it is compatible with 2000 and 97. thank you!

If the file is corrupted, it may be beyond JetComp's ability to repair it.
Have you tried opening a new mdb file and importing the objects form the
current file?

You can find additional information on recovering from corruption at these
links, but depending on how bad the corruption is, it may be that the only
recovery is to restore from a backup copy.
