Database ACCDR 2007 crashes - ACCDB does not

I have another laptop with XP and Office 2007.
This laptop does not have the Runtime installed,
just the full version... Access 2007

Have an application - in a ACCDB - runs fine under Access 2007.
Re-name it from ACCDB to ACCDR and click on it...
BTW - the hover bubble indicates it's a Runtime, based upon the suffix,
yet no Runtime was installed ?

Anyway -
With the database named ACCDB - it runs fine in full Access 2007 menu/nav mode.
With the database re-named ACCDR - it starts to open, and crashes ??

Same file - moved to another laptop with both Runtime + Full Access 2007
version,
and the database runs fine as ACCDB and also as ACCDR.

Any ideas why it crashes on the full Access 2007 system as an ACCDR ?

1st guess: Check to see if both machines are running the *exact* same
verison of retail Access 2007. Sounds like one may have had an update that
the other has not.

In prior versions you could check the exact version/build via Help>About,
but I have no idea it that still works in 2007.

Runtime is simply a mode that MSACCESS.EXE can operate in. Runtime files
(which are the same as Retail files) do not to be specifically installed as
long as the Retail files have been.

HTH,
