when i try installing max payne 2 or splinter cell i get
a data3.cab error. i cleaned out my temp folder, i
defraged, i disabled eveything in msconfig, i did a
scandisk, i have the latest drivers for my drives, the
disks do not have any scratches on them.i copied them to
the hard drive then tried installing them, yet i still
get that error. how do i get rid of that error or how can
i get these games installed? i am running out of options.
i did do a restore a couples of months ago and i heard
that might be why i am getting that error. what else can
i do?

If you bought the games, then check out their tech support, either on the
phone or online.
If you downloaded the games, then you got a bad copy.

Hi

Try contacting the manufacturer's of the programs to see if they can help.
