data1.cab

When attempting to install my ACDSee I get an error that
the data1.cab file is corrupt and I cannot continue the
install. Is the data1.cab file part of Windows XP cab
files and can it be replaced? If so, how can I get a
good copy of the file for replacement?

No its the file that holds files for installing ACDSee. You might be able to
download a copy of ACDSee from the web site of the company that makes it.
Failing that contact the makers and get them to give you a working copy. If
it follows standard licenses you should be able to get a working version
from the maker.
