How are you guys doing, hope the Domain Controllers are fine today.
I need ya'll help in locating a software that can recreate a hard
drive's(HD) Master File Table (MFT) or retrieve the data on it.
I moved a HD from 1 of my PCs to another and now I cannot access this disk.
I'v done the same thing many times, but I guess last night I shouldn't have.
The computer detects the HD and Windows detects it as well, during bootup
Windows says it is a Non-WinXP disk (yeah I know this is a win2000
newsgroup) and wanted to do a checkdisk but aborted itself and reported an
"error writing output log".
It took a little bit longer for the GUI to load but after it did I tried to
access it in my computer and it says "error accessing ... unreadable or
corrupt...". Computer management(CM) lists the disc, but say it is 100% free
.. It was about 70% full befor all of this. CM does not display a files
system associated with the disc, it is 20GBs, it was formatted FAT32 and to
complicate things it was a Dynamic Disk.
I get the exact result when i return the disk to is host PC.
Thus my dilemma.
I'm thinking data is still on there but the MFT is corrupt. Can you
recommend a software that could probably help.
Thank you guys.
