data is hidden

Using Calendar if Outlook 2000 for the first time on this computer. I enter
an appointmen - then it goes away. Nothing shows. However I know the data
is there since when I hot sync the data is on my handheld
 
Do you have any filters applied to the display of the Calendar folder?
