data from query doesn't show up in report

i'm having a problem with getting the data from a query to show up in a
report. it was working fine, but then i added a text box in the header and
tried to go from design view to print preview and was asked for parameters. i
hadn't specified any, and i can't remember if i clicked "ok" or "cancel." now
when i go into print preview only one page of the report shows up (it's
formatted to have one record per page) and none of the info. from my query
appears; paging to the next page/record is not an option. i went back into
design view and deleted the text box since it was working fine until i added
the text box, but i still can't get any of the data to show up. i've tried
pasting the report layout in a new report that draws data from the query, but
it still won't work. i'm not sure what i've done, but i don't want to design
the report from scratch again. any ideas? thanks.

Adding a text box to a report shouldn't have an affect on the records
returned by the report's record source. Check the report's record source as
well as the report's filter property. Have you set any controls/sections to
invisible?

i haven't, and that's why i'm so confused. after i added the text box it
asked for parameters for the first time. obviously i must've done something;
i just have no idea what. the record source and filter property are correct.
