dark media player screen

When I try to veiw internet news video etc. the audio is ok but the veiwer
screen is dark, making the video hard to see. This doesn't happen with every
video, but most of them act this way. This happens with Windows media player,
and Real Player. Any ideas what is wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks

I am using XP Media Center 2005 and media player 10. A lot of the email
videos I get are dark also, but not as dark as the streaming internet video.

This sounds like you would want to get a better video card driver or at
least update the settings for it...

Thanks for the advice, but I got it figured out. I just had to reduce the
amount of video acceleration and that fixed it.
