DAO35

I need to install a DAO35 update but get a message that they are in use and
must close all applications even though nothing else is running but XP and
the setup program. Can anyone help, please?

If you run MSCONFIG you'll find out you have a lot more running than
your surmise. Install the update in Safe Mode.
