You are stupid... I suggest you fire yourself that tell that graphic artist
of yours to retire and you both go somewhere to rot.. preferably somewhere
away from computers so this newsgroup can get some peace...
You are not only ignorant, you are trying to show that you some hotshot... I
AM LAUGHING!!!

Let me KICK your As* once more perhaps Ill find that boot I lost there the
other time

download this program (free)
http://iconico.com/colorpic/

and poke around the screen with it, and look at the numbers you can see in
the red circle here...

although the real use of these models are indeed for different things, you
can convert most colors from one model to the other. Thus even though the
principle behind a screen is RGB, if you analyze the same colors and
translate it into another model the same colors can be displayed.

Any program like Photoshop or corel can do this...

the equations to convert RBG to CMYK are these (yeah I actually took the
time to look you stupid delusional delinquent!)
These are done on the fly in programs.. like the FRIKIN ONE I SENT YOU THAT
CLEARLY SHOWS THAT ANY COLOR ON THE SCREEN CAN BE SHOWN AS CMYK.

Converting between RGB and CMYK

To convert between RGB and CMYK, an intermediate CMY value is used. Color
values are represented as a vector, with each color component varying from
0.0 (no color) to 1.0 (fully saturated color). (To convert color components
in the range 0 to 255 (byte values) divide each component by 255.).
tCMYK= {C,M,Y,K} is the CMYK quadruple on ,
tCMY= {C,M,Y} is the CMY triple on ,
tRGB= {R,G,B} is the RGB triple on .

Converting CMYK to RGB
To convert, we first convert CMYK to CMY, then convert the CMY value to RGB
Converting now
tCMYK= {C,M,Y,K},
tC'M'Y'= {C',M',Y'}
= {C(1 ? K) + K,M(1 ? K) + K,Y(1 ? K) + K},
tRGB= {R,G,B}
= {1 ? C',1 ? M',1 ? Y'},
tRGB= {1 ? (C(1 ? K) + K),1 ? (M(1 ? K) + K),1 ? (Y(1 ? K) + K)}
= {(1 ? C)(1 ? K),(1 ? M)(1 ? K),(1 ? Y)(1 ? K)},

ENOUGH SAID! GET LOST IDIOT!!!!

Adam,

Frank thinks that because he has worked a in advertising that he knows
everything, even computers! He is also drawing on other people like graphic
artists to boast his ego.. and try to prove that he is better than me or you
or anyone else.. It doesn't even pass his mind that others here could have
"been there done that".

This is an inferiority complex.. he is trying to prove to himself and others
that he is someone of grand importance. He needs to do this because in
reality there is no self confidence no real belief in who he is. This is a
sign of weakness and fear. A true knowledgeable person would not need to
boast. Note that I am not saying that he has no worth.. Every person has
many talents and infinite
potential. But it is his attitude that is holding him back from real
happiness and self awareness.

I must add that I don't have a problem with the graphic artist.. I am sure
that he is a fine professional.

I suggest to Frank that he should stop boasting... it comes across very bad,
and shows that although he is not a kid, he has not really mature.

A true Master never needs to boasts...

Sadly lots of dopes like Frank in newsgroups that have a sick need to
rub their egos. said:

Absolutely true... another common trait and nearly every newsgroup has
a Frank or Justin desperately trying to "prove" they know more than
the next guy. This newsgroup is so lucky, we've got both losers.

How do I change it from that sky blue (damn near white) color to a
dark blue!? Who ever though of that color for the highlight needs to
be flogged and demoted in pay.

Please, how do we change that color? Themes don't work, advanced color
options don't work. How cna I fix that crap?

60% of males are color blind and Cyan on White isn't the easiest color
to deal with.

Has anyone figured out how to change the highlight color? I think it
corresponds to the 'Selected Items' setting in the Display Properties. Aero
just does not respect that setting.

I would appreciate any help, I find the light blue nearly impossible to see
without time-consuming searching. I may try to muddle through with the
unofficial patches suggested, but I would really like an official method.

Thanks in advance.

I hear you! With an estimated 50 million lines of bloated code you
would think Vista could do simple things like that. Nope. It's a catch
22. If you want to use the "pretty" AERO color schemes you can't add
or change from the narrow handful of selections they give you.

However if you pick another non AERO scheme you can. Right click on
desktop, personalize, windows colors... Click on open Classic
appearances, Windows Classic for example. Now click on the advanced
button. Scroll down the Item List. Active Title Bar for example. Click
on the little arrow that's right of the color sample, then other, then
finally mess around and make it any color you want. Go to the next
item you want to change and repeat. In a few minutes you can have all
the custom colors you like. You lose some of the AERO "special"
effects, which is a joke to me anyway.
