damaged XP disk

is there anything that MS will do to help me out with a damaged sick? its not
OEM and i do have the CoA and the original CD key...so i would thing there
is something i can do without having to drop another bill on an outdated OS.

Borrow and copy a generic OEM CD from a friend?

thats kind of how i got this one...only they gave me the original disk, and
its scratched...dont know any other people who have their xp disks.

is there any other way at all?

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

If it was an OEM license, you should contact the computer's
manufacturer.

Yes, since it's not OEM, MS would replace the disk for you at a reduced
price.
