Dailup tone/sound is not heard

I havae installed aninternal modem mauctured bu Frontech international. It is
Motorola chip based. It is data fax voice modem. When I Dail I do not hear
thes dailup sounds. System information tells all the hard ware for modem and
sound are working properly and the drivers are installed and working

Is it in fact dialing?

Check the setup/configuration for the modem - there should be an option to
hear/not hear dialup sounds.

Check your documentation to see who the actual modem maker is - Frontech
does not make them, they just install them.

additionally, if the driver you installed is for the wrong country it can
do this; double check it.
