Dail up pop up at start up

How can I stop the dail up window from opening at start up this is a problem
that has just started happening

do this go to your "Control Panel", you will see an icon
called Internet Options".
Click the radio button for "Never dial a connection"
 
Thanks for the response but all this does is prevent me from using my
interenet connection which is dail up . I need to some how stop it from
poping up when i first boot up the computer it is not in the startup programs
either !
any other ideas would be appreciated

No it just prevents "Automatic Dialing". If you want to use the
Internet, simply doubleclick on the "Connection" to Dial out.
