I have set up several Dial on Demand interfaces on a
Win2K server to create VPN tunnels to a variety of
networks. They work OK.

How do I initiate a connection from a client machine on
the LAN?

Each dd interface has an associated route (to the subnet at the
"answering" site). Check that this route has a check mark in the box with
"use this route to initiate connection" or some similar message. Then from a
LAN machine, try to connect to a machine at that site. The server should
connect. The first attempt may time out before the connection completes, but
a subsequent one should succeed.
