D:\ isn't working

when i load a disc regardless of what kind, it does not "start"... for
example, i put a music disc in and it won't play... i noticed that after i
downloaded iTunes from the website my D:\ stopped working... i "fixed" the
problem by doing a restore... but then the kids downloaded it again (without
asking) and now it's stuffed it back up... i don't want to do a restore becos
i downloaded some things that i need and i don't want to lose them... does
anyone know of another way to get my d:\ working again??

if you mean the cd doesn't start playing as soon as the drive is closed then
it may be the autoplay settings have changed.

try this,

double click my computer
right click on the d:\ drive icon
select propeties
click the autoplay tab
either
click the restore defaults and apply
or
use the list to select what option you would like.
