CYDOOR ADWARE

MS Antispyware detects CYDOOR ADWARE, says it deleted it.
But it is still there. The directroy it says it is in
C:\program files\toolbar is write protected and will not
let me unprotect it to mannualy delete it. Any help would
be appreciated.

Hi Ed,

Did you try to start windows in safe mode? Maybe after
this start, you will be able to remove the write protected
flag !

I have run spyware in safe mode with recovery disabled
with no affect

Cydoor is always installed with another program as adware to support that
program. You will need to uninstall whatever installed cydoor with it to
get it off your machine.

I have deleted every thing I can think of. Any idea what
program it could have come in with.

Well, in fact it could be gone already - sorry - have your right-clicked,
selected properties and examined the security or tried to change ownership
of the folder? Sorry if this is beyond your skill level - I can't tell.
