cyclic data redundancy error on Install

During the XP Pro file copy, a number of files were "not able to load". I got around this problem as I have two images of XP Pro, and loaded alternative CDs until all the files loaded(!). Took a day to figure that one out.

Now, during the last part of the install, I get a "cyclic data redundancy error" on e:\i386\asms. When I look at the CD in explorer, that directory is clearly there, and accessible.

What's up with that?

Thanks.

Hi Scott,

Try cleaning the CD. The CRC error indicates a bad file copy. You may find
it easier to install by copying the I386 folder from the CD to the hard
drive, then running setup or expanding files from there.
