There is no 'default' value for that type of file in Windows XP. By
default, files of that type are not registered. The file could be one of
several that use the .CXP extension:
A Core Media Player XML-based Playlist File
A CX-Programmer PLC program File (Binary)
An XZY-Company.com Proprietary file
You should delete the entire association in 'Control Panel' > 'Folder
Options' > 'File Types' to get rid of your error messages (although, a
reg-cleaner that cannot cope with an incorrect file association is no good
at all) until you open the program that uses files of type .CXP and then the
association will more than likely be re-established.
But, on reflection, I seriously doubt that this is what is causing the
problem, and, as I said, a registry cleaner (that are of limited use anyway)
that cannot cope with an incorrect file association really cannot be doing
it's job. You are better off not using this type of reg-cleaner.
Download and run MalwareBytes to see if you have any virus / malware on your
system playing a part in this error problem, also.
