Hi, I'm just wondering if there is a way I can cut and paste the results
of functions that are outputted from Excel instead of the functions
themselves?

Example:
say A1 was function =(2+2)

Is there a way I can cut and paste it in to A2 as 4 instead of =(2+2)
?

Thanks.

There's a built in function, 'Paste Special'
Right click and copy the cell, right click again, select 'Paste Special',
check 'Values', OK.
As you can see there are various other options other than values,

Alan.

When you paste, select Edit > Paste Special...
and then check the Value button

Don't know about cut but if you copy you can use

Edit > Paste Special > Values

Cut or copy, don't matter, long as I don't have to move it all by hand.
;)

Thanks.

i suppose it's just cause it's midnight, but if you want the values, but
just somewhere else, why not use

=a1

????
