When you change the style of Outlook Today by customizing
it (to summer or winter styles for example), then go to
another screen such as Messages or Calendar, and then
switch back to Outlook Today the style that appears is not
the style that you customized it to be.

How can I get it to stay that Style?

Close Outlook. find and rename outcmd.dat to .old (enable searching hidden
and system files) Reopen Outlook and it should stick.

outcmd.dat isn't on my computer anywhere. I even ran
searches for outcmd and *.dat

what os and if win2k/xp, are you logged in as an admin?

when searching for outcmd.dat, search for all hidden files and folders - but
it may not be created until you customize the toolbars... I don't think it's
the cause of this though...

PS - please don't change the subject line and please include the message
you're replying to - we don't always see the original so it helps if we need
to refresh our memory.

If you're using Windows 2000 or XP, it's hidden -- search in hidden and
system folders to find it.

I have 2kpro. I have admin rights. I logged onto admin
and used an unsetup outlook there and it works fine.
Another thing that I noticed is that the under
the "customize outlook today" screen the preview for the
style has an x in the corner showing that a preview is
unavailable.

What were you expecting to happen? Your original post in this thread
just said you couldn't find the file. What problem are you trying to
fix?

This was the actual original post I just didn't know that
I was supposed to keep the original message with the reply.

OK -- I think what happened is that you changed the title of the thread
(the subject line) somewhere along the line and so I couldn't tell that
it was an older thread. Best not to change the subject line too much if
you can help it.

I see that someone from Microsoft has answered you in a separate thread
so I will assume that I can close this one. Hope you found the solution
you were looking for.
