How can you turn off the "new email messages" from
appearing under the user's name on the account login
screen. I am using Windows XP home edition with service

How can you turn off the "new email messages" from

You can turn this off in TWEAKUI.EXE > Logon > Unread Mail. TweakUI is
available from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp.
