Customizing Desktop theme

I have installed Windows XP prof.
By Right Clicking on Desktop - select Properties - select Apperance then
click on Advanced button, I reached to the page where I can change the font
of many items of the window.
Well, the font dialoge contains only five fonts to choose from !!!!!
Is there a way to add more fonts to that dialoge.

You are quite right, this should contain almost every font in
c:\windows\fonts.
But, what I get is only 5 fonts.
The version of Windows XP I installed is professional with Service Pack 2
included.
So, we are still in square 1.
