Customized Templates for Power Point

How do I add customized templates to Power Point? I want to add a folder to
the new template box for our customized templates. But it does not see them
unless I browse to it. Is there a way to just add it to the default
Presentations folder? Any info is appreciated.

Save your power point template "filename.pot" into the C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\ either the Presentation Designs or 1033
subfolders. They will then appear in the Office 97 Templates directory when
you create a new presentation in PowerPoint.

Hi Deb:
Thanks for your response. I am working with PP2000 for W2K and PP2003 for
XP. One of the designers created a bunch of custom templates and it is to be
used throughout the company. I need to send these templates to all the PCs
and was trying to find where I can locate them so when a user logs into PP
and selects design template - they will see the customized templates. I have
been playing with the location designations in the registry and settings
within PP, but it refuses to see the added templates in the dialog box when
the New Presentation box comes up, unless I put it in the profiles template
folder. Was wondering whether there is a way to add it in w/o having to put
it in all of the profiles' template folder on each PC.

Thanks,
MssCova
