Customized "My Music" Icon Lost

A

Alan Price

I've lost the default "My Music" folder icon (the one with
the music note). I've tried to retore the icon by
customizing the folder again (Properties>Customize).
However, there is no customize tab. If I create a My
Music folder anywhere else or a My Music 2 folder in My
documents, the icon will appear as I set it. When I move
the folder or rename it to My Music, the icon is lost.
This leads me to the conclusion that it is a registry
setting that's gone awry. I was told by Dell support to
use System Restore, but all resotre points were deleted to
remove a virus from my system. Any ideas? If you need
more information or clarification, let me know.

Thanks for the tip. I had a brainstorm just after I
posted last night and explored the TweakUI PowerToy for
answers. I found out how to rebuild the icon, so it's now
working again. Thanks for your help!

Hi Alan,

In Windows Explorer: Go to Tools/Folder
Options/View/Reset All Folders.
If that doesn't help and it should:
