I would like to add shortcuts for other programs (Adobe Acrobat, Avery
Wizard, etc.) to a Word 2003 toolbar so I can access the programs from inside
Word. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Usually Adobe and Avery accomplish this on their own via add-ins in the Word
or Office Startup folder.

Okay granted. Bad example.
What I'm getting at is can I put shortcuts to programs in an Office toolbar
that don't come with Office?

You probably could using the SHELL command in a macro, but unless the
application actually interfaces with Word, what's the point? Use the Windows
quick launch taskbar instead.
