Customising Appearance of Vista Premium

GodZilla

Hi gang,
I've been customising the appearance of various aspects of Vista
Premium i.e Title Bar, Menu, Selected items etc. I'm very grateful to
everyone who replied to my previous query on this subject, but I am
still having trouble trying to change the colour used when scrolling
down any menu with the mouse. Evidently this is not the 'Hover colour'
- as I previously thought. Due to visual impairment, I find the default
colour an absolute nightmare!!

Is there anyone out there who can identify what I'm talking about? Just
to reiterate; After clicking on a menu in Vista (Problem doesn't occur
in MS Office) when you move the mouse up/down to select an item, this
is what I want to change.

I believe it used to be 'Selected Items' up to XP, but having tried
that option in Vista it wasn't what I had hoped for.

Hope I haven't confused anyone!
Thanks in advance
Chris

There are quite a few themeing applications from stardocks in which you can
change these things. You can also pick up windows theme files on the
internet and use them from within windows.

It is the 'selected items' when you use 'Windows Classic' scheme.
'Classic' might solve any other visibility problems or you could start
by trying just the Classic Start Menu (Taskbar properties). Or was that
one of the previous responses you got ?

You switched Theme to Windows Classic, went to Appearance --.Advanced and
ALSO switched there into Classic?
If not, you should, then every color becomes customizable, maybe except
scrollbars which who cares... I made my scrollbars real narrow to gain more
window space, and still can click on scrollbar arrows no problem.
I customized every tiny TNIESt bit of Vista and this is been going on since
1992 - since Win3.1 almost 20 years ago, thanks God Microsoft has not
screwed up customizablily in thsi respect. But they did screw up
WinExplroer in Vista which forgets views, sorting, suddenly decides to apply
template he likes and not my last exit/last saved setting, and horrible
background color for the column by which you stor items in List view - my
desktop/window background is set to BLACK, but Explorer ingores it when you
sort out that column and applies White, natuarally my silver-light fonts
become invisible in Details view, so i am forced to stick with List view.

Other than "sorted by" column color issue, I think every color is
customizable, not sure why you havingproblems.
