Customise desktop/ remove recycle bin icon

How can I remove the recycle bin from the desktop, and have it appear in the
programs list, (start button list) to use from there.
I am using winxp home (sp2)

Hi,
Right click the Recycle Bin and select "Pin to start menu", then delete it.

Use TweakUI XP, Desktop option and uncheck Recycle Bin.
