custom toolbar

I've added a button to the standard toolbar and it seems
to stay for a few weeks, then it reverts back to the
default. What would be causing this?

Your IT department might be deleting your Excel.xlb file..... strange
things, but sometimes too true.

I would suggest backing up your .xlb file

Just to add to Bernie's reply:

Once you set up your toolbars the way you want them, use
windows start button|search/Find
to look for *.xlb
(name and location vary with versions of windows & excel)

Once you found the one you just updated, make a backup copy. Remember where you
stole it from.

When your toolbar disappears, just copy that backup into its rightful home (with
excel closed).
