Custom Toolbar from Excel 2000 to Excel 2003

Ben

I've upgraded to a new pc with excel 2003 pre-installed.
I was running excel 2000. I saved the custom toolbar file
from excel 2000 called excel.xlb onto a diskette for
transfer to the new machine. How can I get this toolbar
recognised by Excel 2003.

Thank you

Ben,

You should be able to open the XLB file in the same way you'd open an normal
workbook. This will cause Excel to create a new XLB file with the
appropriate name in the appropriate location.

Thank you. That worked but i could not determine the new
location of the file. As a matter of interest where does
this information reside in Excel2003

Thank you

I don't use xl2003, but in older versions, the location depends on the version
of excel and the version of windows.

You may be able to find your file by Windows Start Button|Find. Search for
*.xlb. Make sure you're looking through hidden folders and for hidden files,
too.
