Why don't any of my Word 2007 files have the custom tab? .docx or .docm
Is there a way to get it back or another way to edit it's properties?

thanks
scott

Hi Scott,

Are you talking about a tab on the Ribbon user interface (there isn't a tab named 'custom' by default), or the Ruler (view=>Ruler)
that shows the tab stops?

my word documents are on my desktop. right click on icon for document.
properties. the 03 versions have a Custom tab in properties. 07 doesn't.
does this answer your question?

I don't believe it is possible to see a (2007) document's custom properties
that way. They are stored in a different way from before, not accessible via
Explorer or other utilities that used to read them. You need to look at the
custom xml inside the file.
