Custom properties on a folder

I have a bunch of webcasts in different folders.
I want to be able to visually see which ones I have watched. I'd
rather not created "watched" folders and drag them in as they would
lose their sequential meaning.

I have looked at the extensive properties offered in Vista but can't
see a way to add my own.
I'd like to add a column (alongside artist, media, genre etc) that is
called Watched? with a value of yes or no. Or is it possible to show a
filename in a different colour (like compressed files show as blue) in
order to denote "watched"
I'd rather see this property at a glance rather than have to right
click and delve into menus.

Don't recall Vista having such a feature. You'll need some third-party
software for that.
