Custom Menus in Word 2007?

We are considering an upgrade to Office and aren't sure if we'll go to 2003
or 2007. We currently use Office/Word 2000 and have hundreds of templates
and some custom menus to run the templates. Most of the templates have vba
code in them that runs on File>New.

If we upgrade to Office 2007 I believe we lose the ability to create the
custom Word menus. So my question is....what other options are there for
accessing the templates if we go to 2007? The standard Word File>New dialog
(even if it's the same in 2007) is not an option because of the number of
template folders.

We had considered InfoPath and/or Sharepoint but not having actually seen
them in operation, are not really sure what might be a suitable replacement
for the menus.

There must be others out there pondering the same questions. Any ideas or
comments would be much appreciated.

Your current menus & toolbars will appear on the Add-Ins tab.
You can create items on the Ribbon using RibbonX.
So, what would you like to do?

Well....the first thing I'm going to do is read everything on your site!

Thanks for the info. I'll get back when I've done more reading.
