I am working on a new Access 2000 application. I would like to use some
fancier menu's - particular the "hovering" type and the ability to
explode/implode menu's using the "+" and "-" signs...

I am also looking at developing this thing to look more like a web based
app - using nicer background themes etc.,.. even though it is not a web
application.

Are there any free special controls I can download to accomplish these types
of things?

Thanks,

Brad

Brad,

Custom toolbars are created by going to View - Toolbars - Customize. Go
there and look around. Toolbars are called commandbars in the Access object
model. Go to the Help file and look up commandbars. Follow some of the links
to other subjects to learn how to create and use them. You might also Google
for commandbars.

Thanks for that... I'm not really looking for toolbars, although I would
like to start using them a bit more... What I am looking for is more along
the lines of menuing within a form as opposed to toolbars... I do not
really like the switchboard. I'd prefer to do my own thing...

Right now I have a custom form that has commands buttons relating to menu
items on the left and the appropriate form is displayed on the right side of
the screnn (similiar to the way using windows explorer works witht he right
and left panes).

I would really like to fancy up my custom menu as I was mentioning in the
first email... I would like to move away frommcommand buttons and use
something else in it's place... more "web" like....

Thanks,

Brad
