Custom highlight colour

Is there any way to change the highlight colors in Word 2003 from the
very strong default color scheme? I'd like to use a paler shade for
better visibility. Thanks.

The highlight colors themselves can't be changed, but you can get other
colors by using background shading. MVP Greg Maxey provides an add-in to
apply those colors on his page at http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Highlighter.htm.
