I would like to create a button that will insert a picture file (scanned signature) wherever the cursor is. Any clue how to do it easily? Thanks in advance

Here's a better idea: Store the signature picture as an AutoText entry in
the templates you use for creating letters and memos. Then just type the
name of the AutoText and press F3 (or, if you made that name at least four
characters long, type the name and press Enter when the tooltip appears).

See http://members.verizon.net/~vze27sds/autotext.htm for more.

Hi ASNI

This is quite easy. Insert the scanned signature into a document. I suggest
making it an in-line (not floating) picture. To do that, right-click the
picture, choose Format > Picture. On the Layout tab, choose "In -line with
text".

Select the picture and do Alt-F3. Give it a one-word name (like
FredSignature). You have now created an AutoText. You can invoke this
AutoText in several ways. Insert > AutoText, or type FredSignature and do
F3, or type the first four letters and press Enter.

Or, you can make a button for your AutoText. To do that, Tools > Customize.
Click on the Commands tab. In the Categories box, choose AutoText. In the
Commands box, find your AutoText, click on the name and drag it to a
toolbar. Don't close the Customize dialog box yet! Right-click on the new
button. From here you can change the name on the button, change its image,
create a new image, and choose whether to display text, image or both.

Because you didn't choose otherwise, the AutoText itself and the button have
been saved in normal.dot. So when exiting Word, if you're asked to save
normal.dot, say Yes.

Hope this helps.
