Cursor Problem

I need major help. Every time I open Excel and left click, it seem like I am
pressing shift all the time (but of course I am not) because when I move my
mouse, the cells are highlighted as well. I used OpenOffice but did not
encounter the same problem.

Might be EXT mode. Touching F8 will toggle EXT on and off. With EXT on,
mouse-clicks select blocks of cells rather than individual cells.
