Cursor now half size

O

Orrie

Hi,

After a long day's work, the cursor in Word 2003 SP1 must have been worn
down. It is now about half the height of my 12 pt. type on screen. I want to
to restore it to its usual size.

During the day, I used Excel 2003, and notice that its cursor was a small
one, which I thought was because I was typing in spreadsheet cells. Could
that have something to do with the change in Word?

Any suggestions about how to make the Word cursor return to its normal size?

Thank you.

Orrie

Hi Orrie,

try switching zoom to 500 percent,
maybe type something,
delete it,
switch back to your normal view size.

Might help.

Actually, I've found that nudging the zoom even by a single percentage point
seems to do the trick... in fact, if I just nudge it up to 101%, that fixes
it, and I don't bother going back to 100%.

Having the following in autonew and autopen macros works also, transparently
to the user.

With ActiveWindow.View
.Zoom.Percentage = 500
.Zoom.Percentage = 100
End With
