Maybe it's just me, or maybe I just am not familiar enough
with XP, but on some of my graphics programs, when I move
the cursor across the screen to go someplace in
preparation for doing something, XP takes the whole page
and starts scrolling it off the screen as the cursor
moves. Is there someway to stop this? I don't want
XP "anticipating what I want to do"-- it has no clue
what's going on!

Thanks for the help.

It sounds like you are applying pressure to the left mouse button and
are therefore "dragging". If you have a specialized mouse (i.e., not a
standard vanilla mouse), did you install drivers for it? Or try going
to the mouse applet in Control Panel and changing the sensitivity and
other options there.
