cursor disapears off screen

My daughters machine began acting strange recently. The boundary on the right
side of the screen is no longer there. The cursor can run right off the right
side of the screen. Open windows can move off the right side as well. The
top, bottom and left boundaries are fine.

That is a setting in your screen, auto size, or manually resize your monitor

I diagnosed the problem successfully. The hardware for both an NVidia
graphics card and the Intel on-board graphics chip were enabled. Disabling
the the on-board graphics hardware corrected the problem.
