I backup my PST file to a DVD while outlook was open and now when I
copy to my reimaged computer all I get is that this file is not a
valid personal folder. I tried to run a scanpst on it and used
aftermarket software to no avail

Please help

Backing up/copying a pst file whilst open in OL will result in an
unrepairable pst

Make sure that the read-only attribute is not set on the PST file.
However, the file may be irreparably corrupt if it was not properly
closed at the time of the backup.

Hi,

Try to remove any read-only flag on the PST file and re-open it in
Outlook. You may also install Outlook 2003 or 2007 if the PST file in
Outlook 2003 format. If this still doesn't work, then you may try our
product Advanced Outlook Repair to repair your
