CUBE Functions in Excel 2007

H

Hans Preuer

Hallo,
I do BI Reports with Excel 2007, and with the new CUBE-Functions
(CUBEMEMBER, CUBEVALUE, ...) it works very well. With my knowledge now, I
can only select normal values, for example with CUBEVALUE("Adventure Works",
"[Measures].[Gross Profit]", "[Product].[Category].[Bikes]", "[Date].[Fiscal
Year].[FY 2006]") the value for Gross Profit. How can I select Year-to-date
Values (for example CUBEVALUE("Adventure Works", "sum(ytd(),
[Measures].[Gross Profit])", "[Product].[Category].[Bikes]", "[Date].[Fiscal
Year].[FY 2006]")??? With this syntax it doesn't work!).

Many thanks for all help.

Hans,

You cannot use expressions like sum(ytd(), [Measures].[Gross Profit]) in
cube formulas.

I think you have to create such a calculated member in the cube.

Hope that helps
