the shortcut of CTRL+ENTER is not working when I try to
go to a website. Instead of adding the www. and .com
before and after the website name, I get taken to a Lycos
search page. I am trying to fix this problem so that I
go straight to the website I am trying to access.
Anybody have any clues as to how I can fix this?

The first thing I would do is try a different keyboard... Borrow on
if you have to and if that doesn't remedy the problem, you might
have some spyware on your computer.. I somehow doubt that LYCOS
would drop spyware, but there is that possibility. To check for
spyware go to the sites below and downloan and install Ad Aware
and SPYBOT.. After you install them, be sure to hit their UPGRADE
button BEFORE you run them. I personally disable my Virus Scan
upon the actual install of these products... These are free by the way.

Try downloading and running Ad-Aware
(http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ ), and/or Spy-Bot
