Ctrl +clicking = copying

I work with a lot of photos on my XP sp2, and love the ability to select
multiple copies. However, when I use ctrl+click to select multiple images,
the images copy...when that's not necessarily what I want to do, and I
haven't given that command. Many times I'm trying to delete all those,
rather than copy them.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
 
Never mind...I finally found John Inzer's solution when I did a different
search.
