Help! When I press ctrl+alt+delete, the task manager starts automatically,
instead of the usual screen the has the choices, shut down, lock, etc.
Anybody know what is causing this and how it can be corrected? This problem
has just started recently, it used to work fine. I checked system for viruses
with McAfee and it didn't find anything.

You might want to try the following:

Go into Control Panel and click on User Accounts.
Click "Change the way users log on or off".
Uncheck "Use the Welcome Screen".
Click "Apply Options".
Close User Accounts.
Hit Ctrl + Alt + Del and see if you get the Window Security box
to appear.

Hi Bert,
Thanks for the quick reply. The tabs were already visible. The problem is
that the task manager comes up immediately upon the ctrl+alt+delete command.
I don't get the normal screen that gives the various choices.
