On my HP notebook, when XP starts, it always prompts
to "Insetrt Card or press Ctrl-Alt-Del to start". I want
the unit to automatically reboot to desktop without my
intervention. How do I accomplish this? I run my video
security through this computer, and after a power outage,
I have to drive over 50 miles, just to do a "ctrl-alt-del
startup". I have tried Knowledge Base Article #
308226 , but am unable to locate the "Adanced"tab in the
user accounts. HELP Randy

Hi Randy,

Start/run "control userpasswords2"

On the second (advanced) tab, uncheck the option requiring c-a-d. Then on
the first tab, uncheck the option requiring a user logon. Click apply/ok and
follow the prompts to create a default logon.
