Ctrl a doesn't work!

I have outlook 2003.
I can't get Ctrl a or the delete key to work when it outlook.All other
applications will work for this!
I have removed and reinstalled the keyboard and drivers but it doesn't seem
to help.Intermittenly the keyboard will all of a sudden work.
I need to fix this asap.
Any suggestions?

Been there, done that!
Still doesn't work.
the delete key should work in outlook but it doesn't either.
Changed keyboards 4 times, no luck.
got all the service packs and patches.Still no luck!
