I exported my mailing list in .csv format. When opened in Excel it is a
list. I need to add it to a listmanager and the list needs to be comma
separated ...

..csv IS comma separated. I think it stands for "Comma Separated Values" or
similar.
Opened in XL it will not have the commas, but if you can find the file and
open it in
notepad (or some text editor), there should be commas in there, otherwise it
is not in
..csv format. XL will import many different formats as it will export in many
formats.

I exported as .csv but when I open it is Word (2007) or Excel ... it is a
list. When opened in WordPad, it's a list, no commas.
When I open it in Notepad it's all together but without comma separations.

OK, what are you using to export the list?
If using XL, I can do a "Save As" and just
pick ".csv" from the drop-down list which
gives a perfectly separated file as long as
each value is in a different column. Every
single row will have a comma separating the
values in each row. Now, if you happen to
have commas IN the data, it could be
fairly difficult for XL to parse, that's just a
fact of life that nobody can change. If using
a Mac, there is usually an option to save
with it's particular formats as well. I don't
know what else to tell you at this point!

Thanks for helping.
