Ok.
Let's say you're a web master and you have a web site you've been working on for
a few months, which now has 100 or so pages.
One day you decide you don't like the background color you're using, or the
font, or that you don't want underlines under your hyperlinks, or you want the
hyperlink to be a different color when "hovered."
Without a style sheet you're forced to open and edit all 100 pages, which means
you'll probably decide to live with what you have.
Or, you open your style sheet and edit one entry. Save the style sheet and
publish and all 100 pages are changed.
You can create your style sheet with notepad, save it to a location in your web
and then apply it across your web. FrontPage will apply it to every page.
Note: If you have existing pages, you will have to open them and "Remove
formatting" to remove any "Special formats" you have applied so that the style
sheet will be effective. Also, when the style sheet is applied, you can go to
individual pages and specify specific formats for parts of the page.
