Working support in a shop that authenticates to an AD domain and talks to a
Netware 5 NDS structure for swap drives. A rash of XP clients using CSNW are
suddenly unable to see / authenticate to the Netware side. Installing the
Novell client has worked to resolve this, but we really don't want to
install the Novell client. Anyone have this issue and know what the cause
is?

If you're using the built-in Novell Client that Microsoft
provides, poor performance and random disconnects are the norm. (I
sometimes think Microsoft sub-contracted AOL to provide the code for
its Novell client.) If a properly functioning network is at all
important, try using Novell's IntranetWare Client32.

Thanks for the reply. We are using Client32 as a work-around. The issue has
only happened to approx 6 -8 XP clients out of about 500.
